Status: As reported in the Draft Minutes of the 1999 Steering Committee Meeting:

ITAC tabled this proposed paper on computer crime.

Action: After discussion, it was agreed that ITI would consult on possible expansion of the scope of the paper to include computer terrorism and JEIDA agreed to provide further information on the situation in Japan.

The clear focus was to be on the new computer crimes as outlined in the paper and not the traditional ones.

Action: ITAC will prepare and circulate a revised version of this paper in advance of the Québec City Congress.
